The State of North Carolina has a implemented practices of drawing racially specific districts in an effort to marginalize minority voters, specifically African-American communities in an effort to silence voters. The state also created additional voter disenfranchisement practices of limiting early voting, and not allowing college students to vote on campus by staging polling locations in remote locations.
